Luxe Den Capitol Reef is a design-led lodging and glamping property in Teasdale, Utah, minutes from Capitol Reef National Park. It has six glamping units, three tipis, two yurts and a dome, open from October 15, 2026, and 5 lodge rooms, each with a private bath, closed for renovation until January 2027. Tempered-glass geodesic domes built for the night sky arrive for the 2027 season. Check-in is self-serve and The Lodge has a full shared kitchen.

Where is Luxe Den Capitol Reef?

Luxe Den Capitol Reef is in Teasdale, Utah, just outside Torrey, Utah, the gateway town for the west side of Capitol Reef National Park. It sits at roughly 7,000 feet in a grove of pinyon pine, overlooking the Fremont River valley toward Thousand Lake Mountain.

Can I book a stay at Luxe Den Capitol Reef?

Reservations for the glamping units open October 15, 2026 and are taken directly with us, on our booking page. The Lodge is closed for renovation and its rooms come back January 2027. Joining the list is still how you will hear about winter dark sky dates, and about the 2027 season, before they go public.

How does check-in work?

Check-in is self-serve. You get what you need ahead of time and let yourself in whenever you arrive, however late.

Is breakfast included, and is there a restaurant on site?

The Lodge has a full shared kitchen, so a group can take the building and cook for itself. Torrey, Utah is a few minutes down the road for the nights you would rather not.

Is there a sauna, cold plunge or hot tub?

Not yet. The wellness circuit (sauna, cold plunge and open-air soaking tubs) is part of the planned 2027 build-out at Luxe Den Capitol Reef and is not available today. We will keep saying so plainly until it is built.

How dark is the night sky at Capitol Reef?

Capitol Reef National Park is a certified International Dark Sky Park and Torrey, Utah is a certified International Dark Sky Community, so this is some of the darkest night sky in the country. Luxe Den Capitol Reef sits at about 7,000 feet with very little light and very little sound around it, which is the whole reason the domes are glazed toward the sky.

When is the best time of year to visit for stargazing?

The darkest, clearest nights near Capitol Reef fall between November and March, and the best of those are the nights around a new moon. That is why Luxe Den Capitol Reef is building a winter season around the dark sky rather than treating winter as an off-season.

What is there to do near Torrey, Utah?

Capitol Reef National Park is minutes away, with the Scenic Drive, Hickman Bridge and the Fruita orchards. Trail and OHV routes, slot canyons and red rock run in every direction. Further out: Cathedral Valley, the Burr Trail, Boulder Mountain, Fish Lake and Scenic Byway 12. Longer day trips reach Goblin Valley, Factory Butte and Hanksville.

What kind of accommodation does Luxe Den Capitol Reef have?

Two kinds. The Lodge is a building with 5 rooms, each with its own bath, plus the shared kitchen, which is the right fit for a group taking the whole place; it is closed for renovation until January 2027. The glamping units are three tipis, two yurts and a dome, each sleeping two, open from October 15, 2026. For the 2027 season they become geodesic domes with a curved glass wall, so the valley and the sky above it are the view from the bed.
